I just installed windows 7 and noticed this adapter being the only hardware not automatically configured.
And this driver isnt working for me. Im on win7 64 and when I point it to that inf file I get the error
The folder you specified doesn’t contain a compatible software driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with Windows for x64-based systems.
Is there any luck to get this to work?
I usually use this adapter to do quick pc to pc networks with some crossover cables.
thanks! Dear friend.
This driver work properly windows 7

this worked perfectly for me on a Windows 7 Enterprise 32bit system.
The system that I used it on was a Shuttle PC SN41G2 v3. The onboard ethernet card just wouldn’t seem to work even after installing the nvidia driver for it. So I tried using this driver for my 3Com card and it worked GREAT!! Thanks for the tip!
Worked like a charm, thanks.

For Win7 64bit you have to install manually a compatible driver within in the driver collection of Win7: Choose network-adapter >>> realtek semiconductor (the 2nd) >>> HP EN 1207D-Tx PCI 10/100
This driver is working well.
That link appears to be dead, this one worked for me and got the Lan chip on my inspiron 8100 finally working ftp://ftp.uni-linz.ac.at/Driver/Ethernet/3COM/3c905c-1/3c905c_4_41.exe

I found some mirrors of the file (3c905c_4_41.exe) at: http://www.filewatcher.com/m/3c905c_4_41.exe.152076-0.html (at http://www.filewatcher.com/ )
Sorry I don’t seem to be qualified to post URL’s in a nice way (Microsoft is verifying my account since 2009 I believe).
